Position Description:

We are looking for a Home Delivery Driver to distribute products promptly to our customers. You will represent our company in a professional and cost-effective manner to increase our profitability and customer satisfaction.

Home Delivery Driver Work Schedule: 5-day work week (Monday – Friday or Sunday night – Friday morning). You must be able to work either shift.

Home Delivery Driver Salary: $45,000-$55,000

HOME DELIVERY DRIVER RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Pre-inspections of delivery trucks
• Prepare orders from load sheets and hand held computers
• Deliver a variety of items to different addresses and through different routes
• Follow routes and time schedule
• Complete daily paperwork for deliveries and DOT regulations
• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks
• Practice safe driving by following DOT regulations and safety standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Valid driver’s license
• Proven working experience as a Delivery Driver
• Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs, frequently perform heavy pushing / pulling of product and work in refrigerated conditions (33-38 degrees)
• Ability to drive safely in a variety of weather and traffic conditions
• Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills
• Ability to work in a fast paced, physical environment
• Clean driving record with no traffic violations
• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED)

Sales Merchandiser Job Responsibilities:

• Oberweis Sales Merchandiser will follow the routes agreed upon with the Merchandising Manager, which includes driving to each store in the order requested by the Merchandising Manager and servicing each store, as requested.
• Part-time is to work a minimum of 3 days a week and not exceed 29 hours a week.
• Builds and maintains positive customer relationships with Store Dairy Managers and Store Frozen Food Managers.
• Completes the timesheet and each store visit by using the Salesforce app that is downloaded to the merchandiser’s smart phone.
• Requests display space from Dairy and Frozen Managers when there is an Oberweis promotion going.
• Responds to a Manager’s requests via text, email or phone within 24 hours during the work week.
• Oberweis Diary company emails must be checked daily, first thing in the morning before starting the route for the day.
• Maintains a friendly, assertive, positive attitude, while at a store, to promote Oberweis Dairy and our Distribution partners.
• Be proactive when problems and issues arise in a store. Resolve, if able, while in the store and contact and inform your Manager, as soon as possible. All communication regarding store issues should go through the respective Manager.
• Attends and actively participates in all mandatory Sales Merchandiser meetings.

Sales Merchandiser Job Requirements:

• Must be able to lift 40 lb. crates of glass-bottled milk, juice and egg nog
• Must be able to walk into and access each store, all store backrooms, all store coolers, which are refrigerated at 33 – 38 degrees, all store freezers, all store freight elevators and all store aisles.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver cases of frozen ice cream pints and quarts, while working in a store freezer.
• A Sales Merchandiser is approximately 75% standing, walking, lifting and stocking in stores. In addition, approximately 20% driving between stores and 5% reporting.
• Must have a working, fully-insured car and be able to drive to each store in the Merchandiser’s territory.
• Must have a working computer and be able to access Excel to submit expense reports.
• Must have a working smart phone to be able to download the Salesforce app, complete check-ins and tasks list for each store.
• Must be able to stock store shelves, store bunkers and store displays. This includes bending and kneeling to access lower store shelves as well as reaching overhead to upper store shelves.
• May be required to climb a 2-step ladder to access upper display store shelves.
